How to Troubleshoot a Microtalk PR260

Place the two Microtalk radios next to each other on a flat surface. Press the up and down arrows on the right sides of the radios until both LCD screens display the same channel number. Many 2 way radio problems stem from radios set to different channel frequencies.
Press and hold the “Mode” button for 15 seconds. The radio will beep and then reset to the default settings.
Set the Microtalk radio face down. Press down on the small latch and pull off the battery door. Pull out the four AAA batteries inside the compartment. Insert four new AAA batteries into the compartment. Make sure the “+” on the batteries match the “+” side of the battery compartment.
Adjust your radio antenna’s tightness. Unscrew the antenna with your fingers counterclockwise until it sits loose on top of the device. Screw the antenna clockwise and continue twisting until it feels secure. A loose antenna can often cause radio static and noise.
